Bermuda is a perennial grass which is grown in warmer, drier climates. It provides a moderate amount of protein and a considerable amount of roughage. Since it is fine stemmed and soft, it is easily fed and is preferred by dairy and beef cattle in hot climates.
Grading of Bermuda Hay is based on visual inspection where the color, fiber length, texture, and purity are evaluated.

Bermuda is most often shipped in high cube 40-foot containers, in bulk or sleeved.
Bermuda should be stored in a vermin free, cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
