Oaten and Wheaten Chaff are a specialised feed for horses, although it can be fed to sheep, goats, dairy & beef cattle as part of a balanced diet. The principle advantage of chaff is that it can be mixed within the concentrate portion of the feed and in turn forage can be fed.
Chaffing results in a fibrous flake approximately 1-2cm in width & length.
Chaff is most often shipped in high cube 40-foot containers, in compressed 25 KG bags.
Chaff should be stored in a vermin free, cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
