Potassium Chloride

Potassium Chloride is also known as KCl. It is a metal halide salt composed of potassium and chloride. It is odorless and has a white or colorless crystal appearance. Potassium Chloride is highly soluble when mixed in water.

Application

Potassium Chloride is mostly used within water based systems as it offers an excellent shale stabilization where there are sensitive clay formations. Potassium Chloride helps control clay swelling in the presence of water, minimizes fines migration, promotes a more established bond between the cement and the formation and also accelerates slurry setting time.

Shipping & Packaging

Potassium Chloride is most often shipped in 20-foot or 40-foot containers, packed in Jumbo bags or 25 KG bags.
